There are some things in life you have to try before you know how they will affect you.

After 5 years of awful sex, I was ready. Bondage and spanking had always featured in my fantasies, and one day, I convinced my husband to try them. That day was a turning point.

Ice cream comes in many flavors and that’s us too — not vanilla, maybe not Rocky Road either. We can be a combination or make up our own and no one has the right to judge us. But there will always be one question that tears at my soul: Will my husband, Nick, ever be happy with what I crave?

This is not your everyday book that brings the reader into a fantasy. This book is one that makes you think as you enjoy the ride. Two ordinary people on a sexual journey, finding their way and themselves through experimentation and love. I really enjoyed meeting Sidney and Nick and was glad that I got to join them on their journey.

This book is written in an easygoing way that makes you feel like you are talking to a friend. It was easy to relate to what was happening to Sidney and Nick as well as understand where Sidney is coming from. Watching Sidney find herself and the courage to ask for the things she wants was a wonderful read. The love that she and Nick share is a beautiful thing and it was nice to see that their relationship is strong enough to deal with everything that is thrown at it. The two put a lot of effort into it and the love that they share shines right off of the pages. I loved their relationship and the banter and playfulness that they have at times. I even found myself laughing out loud at certain things like when they discussed the idea of tying Sidney up like a pretzel. Many of the things that Nick says to Sidney were wonderful. I am glad that he loves her enough to help Sidney through it all and even enjoys himself. Just like any other couple there were times when both Sidney or Nick grated on each others nerves but we see that they are both ready to fight for their love. I just adored Nick when he talks about the 31 flavors.

As we see in this book tastes come in many varieties and we should all feel safe and secure in fulfilling them, never ashamed. As I finished this book I came away with the thought that everyone is different and that it is ok to want something else. Never be afraid to think outside of the box. If you want an interesting and entertaining read about a woman finding her way this is the book to pick up.
